I have brains, but I am not the most knowledgeable person I know. I have wisdom, but I am not the wisest person I know. I have faith, but I am not the most faithful person I know.
What I am is a sinner.
A sinner that loves God more than anything on earth. Why? Not because I have taken theology classes. Not because I read the Bible daily. Not because life is easy and I have everything I have ever asked for. No. I love God because He RESCUED me.
He gave me a SAVIOR when I didn’t deserve it.
He gave me ETERNAL LIFE when I didn’t deserve it.
He gave me GRACE when I didn’t deserve it.
In one of the darkest times in my life, He showed me REAL LOVE. He showed me His MIGHTY POWER.
He saved my daughter’s life.
Through this and many other trials, I have become more wise and more faithful. I have faith that God can fix anything. He has shown me first hand that He is the Only One who can.
Wisdom comes when you know where to place your faith. It doesn’t come from self-help books, or even from the most knowledgeable person you know. It doesn’t come from what the world labels “wise.” Wisdom comes from EXPERIENCING what God can do in your life and the lives closest to you. I have seen it, felt it, cried over it, experienced it, and EMBRACED IT.
HOW AMAZING.
So no, I am not a genius or wise beyond my years. What I do have is faith, and with God I have become a little wiser. I thank Him every day that He is here with me because life without Him is pointless.

Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is having confidence in what we hope for and assurance in what we do not see.”
James 3:17 “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.”
